No, a Pet Care Package is not an insurance policy. While most pet insurance policies focus on treatment, a Pet Care Package prioritizes recommended preventive medicine. Additionally, it offers reduced rates for additional medical and surgical care, along with discounts on medications and healthcare products. Pre-existing problems are not excluded from coverage.
WHY SHOULD I OPT FOR A PET CARE PACKAGE?
As a responsible pet owner, you likely already provide recommended wellness examinations and vaccinations. A Pet Care Package offers these services at a lower cost than individual purchases. It also provides reduced fees in case of unexpected illness or injury, assisting you in offering the best care for your pet.
WHAT SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?
Pet Care Packages cover recommended wellness services for a year. Dogs receive unlimited examinations, age and lifestyle-appropriate vaccinations, up to four fecal examinations, one heartworm/tick borne disease screening, and one age-appropriate screening blood profile. Cats receive similar services tailored to their needs. All packages include discounts on medications, in-clinic care, laboratory services, and surgical services.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
Heartworm and flea/tick products, supplements, medications, and healthcare products are not included but are available at discounted rates. Drop-off fees, urgent care fees, and emergency care fees are not covered but are discounted. Prescription and maintenance foods are not discounted. Services at other veterinary facilities are not covered.
